The madness started with the pro-event, Friday evening. Contrary to last year, all pro card holders seemed to have decided to do their shopping that day. Long queues to get in and to shop in popular stands such as Kat von D and Bobbi Brown. After all, discounts were attractive enough to discourage any savings plan.
Saturday was public day. In my eyes, while the venue was crowded, it was not impossible to walk through the corridors and greet familiar faces: Mona Turnball – one of my tutors at the Iver Academy, Shaune Harrison or Stuart Bray.
Sunday was family day. The venue was quite but not empty. There was still few main stage presentations and demos booths.
Besides being an inspiring event, IMATS offers a good opportunity to networking with your peers.
Perhaps the line up of big names was quite absent this year, nonetheless the demos in different booths were an excellent way to get an in-depth knowledge of the use of new products, techniques and get your questions answered.
Enjoy a taste of my favourite looks!
